A Reasonable Beauty Regimen

A Reasonable Beauty Regimen

The older you get, the more you need to take care of your skin. But, you don’t need to hurt your wallet just to take care of yourself better. The times call for practicality. And although you do deserve to indulge in a lavish skin pampering session that comes with expensive oils, lotions, and perfumes, you may feel more stressed in the end when you get to see that you’ve maxed out most of your credit cards in the process. This, however, does not mean that you take yourself for granted. You can get that youthful glowing skin even on a budget. Just know that you can simply opt for the basics.

If you want to exude health in your skin, you need to take into account what you put inside your mouth. Fruits are your skin’s best friends and whether they are applied directly on your skin or snacked on, they give the most desired and satisfying results. Get helpful doses of vitamins A and C, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, and fiber to name a few if you include these in your diet. All these are great skin food! Aside from giving life to your dull skin, it also regulates circulation, improves immunity, and helps fight skin allergies. Want to rehydrate your body quickly and efficiently? Snack on fruits high in water content such as watermelon and water turnips.

Some people say that you age for days at a time every time you forget to wash your face at night. While this may not be entirely true or accurate, cleaning your face from the day’s grime is not negotiable. Your skin needs to breathe and it just can’t if your pores are clogged with microscopic dust and specs. Use a gentle cleanser to rid your face of the dirt and apply a toner to keep the pores on your skin tight. Top it off with a moisturizer to hydrate and rejuvenate your skin.

To supplement all your efforts, make sure you need to get enough sleep at night. This helps your skin in its effort to remove dead cells. If you remain faithful to this routine, you can stave off dullness, wrinkles, and dark circles around your eyes. Keep all these problems at bay with enough rest. If you have problems falling asleep, add a tablespoon of honey to a glass of warm milk. Drink it just before you hit the sack at night.

Moreover, exercise is still the best way to boost your system. Since skin is the largest organ in your body, it gets the most benefit when you keep exercising. By moving those limbs and muscles, you help increase circulation in your system and deliver the proper nutrients to your skin cells. Swim, dance, walk, jog, and run daily and make your regimen a big part in your life so you’ll eventually see the results of your hard work in no time at all. And just to make sure you’re always up for exercise, take multivitamins daily so that you can fight all viruses and diseases.
